Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or "Tapping")

EFT is a powerful mind-body practice that helps release stress, emotional blocks, suppressed emotional trauma, and limiting beliefs. It works by combining gentle fingertip tapping on specific meridian points of the body (drawn from Traditional Chinese Medicine) with focused awareness on the issue you’d like to shift. 


When we experience trauma, stress, or overwhelming emotions, our body’s energy system can become disrupted, leaving us stuck in old patterns or reactive states. By tapping on these meridian points while naming or acknowledging what we’re feeling, EFT helps calm the nervous system, reduce cortisol (the stress hormone), and rewire the brain’s stress response. In other words, it allows the body and mind to let go of emotional “charge” around an experience.

EFT is widely used to support:


  • Reducing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
  • Releasing past trauma and painful memories
  • Managing fears, phobias, or habits
  • Supporting physical well-being and pain relief
  • Cultivating self-compassion, clarity, and resilience


At its core, EFT is both simple and deeply empowering: with practice, anyone can use it as a tool for emotional balance and self-healing. Many people describe it as a gentle yet profound way of “rewriting the story” the body holds onto, making space for peace, freedom, and new possibilities.
